Lazy Days (Day 4 - 8 is it?)

So I have been lazy these past few days. Sorry! I know how much you loooove hearing my stories. I haven't been doing much lately... I'm just lying around most of the time since Aunty Gail has to go to work. Literally, lying around...

... and cuddling...

... and more lying around...

I like spending time with Aunty Gail even though she's just doing stuff on her computer. It's quite fun bugging her too. How? By simply walking across the screen and stepping on the keyboard of her laptop. Don't worry, she doesn't get mad. In fact, she just laughs because I always pretend nothing happened!

I make it up to her though. How can she resist this sweet sweet Lola? A little lick on her fingers, and holding her hand truly melts her heart away! I'm so good.. hehehe.

Something weird did happen by the way. There were people fixing things around the apartment and all of a sudden, there was a window through the door! I could see everything in the hallway.

So yea, I pretty much just "people-watched" that afternoon.

By Friday, I was getting kind of bored so I had to go through my toy box. I had to look for my favorite toy! Aunty Gail was always putting it away because she keeps stepping on it. Sorry Aunty Gail!

On Saturday, we didn't do much. She did show me pictures of my Mom and Dad. Oh, I miss them so much. Aunty Gail says they will be back very soon. Just two more weeks. Can't be that long can it? Besides, a week already passed by so quickly.

Hi Dad! I miss you so much! I hope you're having fun there!

Mom!!! Please bring me back presents!
After that, I pretty much passed out... Oh comfy bed... So nice to take a nap especially with this weather.

Aunty Gail, take a nap with me will you? I feel so sleepy...

I don't feel like getting up...

Stop petting me, I'm trying to take a nap!
Aunty Gail was asking me why I was so lazy that day. She tried getting my energy up by making me exercise. We ended up running around the apartment. Living room, kitchen, living room, kitchen, bedroom, while I was chasing that ribbon that she was dragging around.

On Sunday, Aunty Gail went to her sister's house because it's Father's Day. Happy Father's Day Dad! I will give you lots of kisses when you get home!

When Aunty Gail came home, I actually did miss her too. I kissed her all over, and walked all over her when she was in bed. I even fell as sleep on her belly, holding her hand!

Anyway, I hope my lazy days are over. I think it's the weather too, it's been raining and chilly out lately. Well, time for bed. I think Aunty Gail wants to sleep and all this typing noise is starting to bother her! Anyway, good night Vancouver!

Day 3: Chillax Day

Good day Vancouver! Today, was a very relaxed day. It's so nice to wake up to a bright morning. But, where's the sun? Oh well, as long as it's not as gloomy as yesterday, it's fine by me.

Time for breakfast!

Aunty Gail was running a little late this morning. I guess she's getting used to sleeping here. She took quite a while in the shower. Aunty Gail? Are you okay in there? I went in and took a peek behind the curtains to see if she was okay. She wasn't surprised this time... or maybe she just didn't notice me at first because she didn't have her glasses on? Anyway, she was okay, maybe she was still sleepy and being a slowpoke.

I thought of a few ideas to try and get Aunty Gail to stay home. While I was watching her get ready in the bathroom, I slowly made my way across the sink and sat on the stuff she was using, including the contact lens case that she uses every morning. I know that's pretty important since I see Dad using that all the time too. Again, she sweet-talked me into leaving her stuff alone so what can I do? Please just a couple more minutes before you go? Pretty please? *puurrr*

Luckily, she gave me more than a couple minutes before leaving. I knew it! Aunty Gail looooves me!

When she got home after work, I was surprised to see that Uncle Arvin was not with her. That's too bad, I guess there won't be as much goofing around today. Oh well, that's okay, we can't have too much fun all the time right? Anyway, Aunty Gail has a new "toy" as she calls it.

Aunty Gail, what is in this box?
She said it's a tablet that was a freebie from something... I can't remember.

Can I please play with it too?
She said, "Sure! But you have to promise me that you won't step on it!"

Okay! I'll just hug it!
How about your computer? Can I borrow it for a bit? I have to update my blog!

She said, "But Lola, I have to do something. Can't you do it later?

But Aunty Gail, I'm on it already! Please? --

-- Never mind, I'll do it later. Just call me when you're done, I'm just right under the bed, okay?

Of course, I couldn't wait that long under the bed! I got up on the bed and just relaxed beside Aunty Gail.

While she was on her computer, she told me that Mom and Dad read this blog and they were so happy! I'm so glad! Mom, Dad, wherever you are, don't worry because I am fine! I hope you are fine too and enjoying your vacation! See? Look how comfortable I am on the bed.

So, that's my day. A very "Chillax" day -- relaxing and just chillin' with Aunty Gail. For some reason the bed is so inviting! I just had to roll around the bed, above and below Aunty Gail's arm, and all over her laptop and tablet. Shhh! Don't tell her I stepped on her tablet! It was black and shiny and I was so curious!

Anyway, it's getting late and I think it's about time to call it a day. Goodnight everybody!

Day 2: Gloomy Weather

*Yawwnn* Another day with Aunty Gail. Yep, she's still here. Uncle Arvin is still here too *sighhhh*, he’s so cute. I think I’m taking a liking to Aunty Gail too. She might think otherwise because of what happened last night though.

Last night was kind of funny. Aunty Gail came home from work, fed me and started to play with me. I was still a bit lazy and I was quite unattentive so she gave up.

After a while, I felt energetic and playful so I thought I'd see if she still wants to play with me. Aunty Gail! Come play with me! I walked towards her and when she looked at me, I ran away as fast as I could! So fast that I even slid a couple of times on the hardwood floor. Aunty Gail said, "Lola, what's wrong? Am I scaring you or something?" I walked towards her and said, No no, I want you to play with me! When she took a step forward, I ran away as fast as I could again, maybe she'll chase me this time.

As I was hiding behind the chair waiting for her, I heard her ask Uncle Arvin why I was so scared of her. Luckily, Uncle Arvin knew that I just wanted to play, so he demonstrated and started playing with me with the green octopus-look-a-like that Mom made a while back. *sigh* Aunty Gail is such a newbie! Oh well, it was quite entertaining I must say. Especially when she was cleaning my litter box.

She had this funny look on her face when I started doing No. 2 in my litter box while she was cleaning. Sorry Aunty Gail! I just had to! Since you're cleaning it anyway, might as well add a bit more to it! Hehehe! She was quite patient though, so she got that right.

Anyway, today was a bit gloomy. It was raining a bit and I'm really missing my Mom and Dad. I hope they are enjoying themselves on their vacation while I'm babysitting Aunty Gail -- Oops, I meant while she's babysitting (or should I say "catsitting") me. I even tried to keep her at home today. While she was getting ready, I tried to hide her keys hoping she won't find them.

I guess sitting on them doesn't really hide them well. I'll have to come up with a better plan next time. Well, I guess she really had to go to work today. Maybe I can get a job too...

Oh yeah, I do have a job... Looking after the budgies! After a long quite day, I was so happy when Aunty Gail came home from work. Finally, some lovin'!

By dinner time, we were back to our usual routine... which is goofing around! Long story short...

If you won't give me a little bit of that sausage, I ain't letting you cook!

Uncle Arvin, pretty please! Can I have some of that hot chocolate? Just a slurp or two?
Uncle Arvin said, "No Lola, your Mom and Dad will get mad at us! Either that or your Aunty Gail will get mad when the time comes to clean your litter box!"

Fine, let's just play hide and seek!

Found you two! *sigh* They're never good at hiding...

Again, Again! Uncle Arvin, it's your turn!

Aww, Uncle Arvin, you found me! Too bad you can't reach me!!! Hehehe!

Anyway, that was it, nothing much today. I'll admit though, I think I really am enjoying their company. It's like having two other kids to play with. Except I'll probably have to teach Aunty Gail a few tricks. I actually felt tired after all that playing. Especially when Aunty Gail has learned how to cuddle with me!

*Yaawwnn* Time for bed! Goodnight! Until next time!

Day 1: First Night with Aunty Gail

Yesterday, Sunday - June 10, 2012, was the day that Mom and Dad left. It felt different this time because they were carrying big bags when they went out the door. I don't really know when they will be back but I know they will be gone for a while since they've been planning this trip for a long time now. They even introduced a girl that I'm supposed to call Aunty Gail. They said that she will be taking care of me while they are away. I hope she knows what she's doing. There is also a boy called Uncle Arvin who always visited with Aunty Gail. He's kind of cute and he is quite fun to play with.

It was around 5:30 PM when I heard something at the door. Maybe Mom and Dad are back! I waited by the door as it slowly opened. Oh, it's Aunty Gail and Uncle Arvin. I looked at them as they came in and said "Hi Lola!" then I looked passed them to see if anybody else was out there. Unfortunately, they quickly closed the door behind them. At least they are finally here to refill my bowl.

Sigh.

Aunty Gail was trying to play with me but she doesn't really interest me.
I was distracted by Uncle Arvin's "Catch the Red Dot on the Floor" game, he's more fun!

They left after playing with me and came back after a while, but this time Aunty Gail was alone. Great, I'm stuck with her all night. She sat on the couch and I sat by the table and we stared at each other for quite a while. She started petting me and playing with me but I think she got scared because I was purring deeply, which sounded like I was growling under my breath. Hehehe.

When it was time for bed, she took out her laptop and started watching some tv show. I got up on the bed and started investigating. I hope she turns it off and sleeps soon, I'm feeling kind of sleepy.

I stepped on the keyboard and started gnawing on the corner of the screen but she's still not getting it.

I'll give her a couple more minutes before I bug her again...
Waiting...

... and waiting... When are you going to sleep, Aunty Gail?

Luckily , she went to sleep and I finally curled up in my spot.

I woke up at around 4:30 AM as it was already bright outside. I was still a bit groggy as I inched towards this female figure on my bed. I moved closer to her face with half-opened eyes...*Sniff sniff* Oh right, it's Aunty Gail. I slowly moved to the other side and saw a male figure. I moved closer to his face... *sniff sniff* hmm.. It's Uncle Arvin, yay! Does Mom and Dad know he's here too? Oh well, Good morning Uncle Arvin! *smooch smooch*

A few times at around 5:30 AM I was playing with the budgies and Aunty Gail kept running out of the room to ask me what's wrong. She looked so confused because I was sitting comfortably on the couch, away from the budgies. What she doesn't know won't hurt her! Hehehe. I hope I wasn't annoying her.

When she was finally awake, she kept walking around like she was lost. Yes, that's it, come here and give me food, please. She obeys like she understood me, then she goes to the bathroom. I heard water running and I got curious what she was doing in there because she left the door ajar. I went in and I took a peek behind the shower curtain. She was startled and said, "LOLA! Don't look!" She pulled the curtain to cover my view so I went to the other end because she forgot to close that. She jumped back again and pulled the curtain. This is quite fun! Just one more peek... she jumped again. She quickly finished her shower and got dressed.

When they were about to leave, Aunty Gail was scrambling to get her things. Uncle Arvin knew better since he started playing "Catch the Red Dot on the Floor" with me again.

Sadly, they had to leave to go to work. *sigh* Hmm... I can't wait until they get back. It's fun scaring Aunty Gail, she's always so jumpy!
